Service Fees
At Lay Travel Group, our professional Travel Advisors spend many hours and dollars each year training, experiencing cruises, tours and resorts, and visiting destinations so we can provide better recommendations to our clients. We do charge fees to help fund this professional development. The fees we charge represent less than 1% of our revenue each year.
Standard Dream Vacation Service Fee ($20 per booking)
The Standard Dream Vacation Service Fee is charged for each booking (not each person). This fee is charged to the "Lead Guest" for each booking. In some cases, we can split the charge between guests on the booking.
Custom Travel Plan Fee ($150 for every 7-days of travel per booking)
The Custom Travel Plan Fee is charged when a customized itinerary is developed either at the client's request or because the travel components required must be individually researched and selected since they are not part of a travel provider's pre-packaged offerings. We charge $150 for every 7 days of travel. Examples: A six-night itinerary is charged $150. An eight-night itinerary is charged $300. A fourteen-night itinerary is charged $300, etc.
Group Booking Fee ($25 per person)
Group bookings require significant extra time and effort to service. For that reason, a booking fee per person is assessed for group bookings. A group typically consists of 10 people or more or 5 reservations or more.
Cancellation Fee ($35 per person)
The Cancellation Fee will be applied to each person travelling and is in addition to any cancellation charges, lost deposits, penalties, etc. that individual travel suppliers may charge.
Change Fee ($10 per person)
The Change Fee will be charged per person for modifications of a booking after deposits are made, except during the first 5 days following an initial booking.
Non-Commissionable Components Fee (15% of Component Gross Cost)
When an itinerary requires a travel component for which there is no commission paid by the travel provider to Lay Travel Group, a charge will be assessed equal to 15% of the cost of the travel component. (This does not apply to airfare).
Air Booking Fee ($40)
The Air Booking Fee will be charged per person for each reservation booked and serviced by Lay Travel Group.
